About Menu For The Week "The hardest part of dinner is not the cooking. It starts with deciding what to have and figuring out what we need." To reduce this stress in her life, Dawn plans all of the dinners her family will have each week and creates a grocery list from that menu plan. "It's one of my best habits and I can't imagine life without it."
Meals are a celebration Dawn was raised in South Louisiana where food is at the culture and meals are a celebration. Dawn has been cooking for as long as she can remember, although it's not her passion for cooking that motivates her. Rather, it's her belief that some of the best bonding with family happens at the dinner table. "Dinnertime is not so much about the food as it is about gathering as a family at the end of the day and reconnecting." That being said, she does believe that a home cooked meal comes from the heart. So while a dinner out may be considered 'time together' it can get expensive and you often don't know what hidden or processed ingredients are used.
"Just tell me what to cook..." This is the request that Dawn has repeatedly heard from moms and is now able to fulfill through menufortheweek.com. Dawn takes all the guesswork out of what to make for dinner and gives you a shopping list for a week's worth of delicious meals. "My hope is to make dinners a little easier for families. It means so much to me and my family to help take the strss out of dinner and put more joy into it."
